A web developer differs from a web designer in several areas. However, it is important to describe the similarities first.

Both web designers and web developers build web pages. They use text, graphics, animations, and other content to construct a presentation to the visitor. They take into consideration issues like the flow of navigation, color schemes, and the marketing content of the site.

Web developers differ from web designers in that in addition to constructing the presentation of the site, they also add functionality to the site like shopping carts, surveys, blogs, members sections, and other functionality that both allows and encourages user interaction.

While each web development team member is valued for individuality and contributes a set of unique ideas to each project, we have an overall design philosophy that we apply to all of our projects.

We believe that website should be useable. This does not mean that the website necessarily needs to be flashy or animated. Of course, things don't have to be boring either. Instead, we focus on the users' experience and how they move around the site. Natural and intuitive navigation and a clear purpose for each section are key.

While each website we design is to our customer's specifications, its impossible for a design team to work on a project without influencing it some way. Since we have worked on many different types of sites for many different target audiences and industries, we have knowledge of the general 'web marketplace' for a variety of different fields. We can provide our advice based on this experience.

We don't use technology just for technology's sake. Just because something is new and is popular doesn't necessarily mean it's best for your project. Only a careful evaluation of your needs and goals will determine the best technologies to use.

Finally, we make sure all projects we work on are reliable and scaleable. We believe that even the smallest project should be made with tools and/or techniques that allow for expansion. We do not use expensive proprietary technologies that tend to lock you into a lifetime of high license fees. Our code is written clearly and in a concise manner so that it is maintained easily.

The most functional and attractive website in the world won't benefit you if people can't find it. With that in mind, we use search engine friendly techniques in all of our web projects, like:

• use of search engine friendly URL's (few or no & and other strange characters in the URL)
• clear, human and search engine friendly navigation with meaningful URL's
• meta tag and title information easily customizable in content management system projects

We include a firm quote of both time and price in each proposal that is all inclusive.

We accept credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal (which both allows the use of credit cards and bank accounts), as well as personal and business checks, purchase orders, and wire transfers.

Our overseas customers generally prefer to use Western Union or a wire transfer.

On most projects, we split payment into 2 parts. The first half is due at the start of the project, and the second half is due at completion of the project. For projects that take longer than 2 months to complete, we often split up the payments into monthly installments.

We are very flexible on payment and will work to create a solution to fit within your budget.
